The Koh Tao Royal Resort has beautiful bungalows situated away from the busier parts of the island, and the snorkeling opportunities right at the beach are absolutely stunning. The owners, Steve and Pauline, were very accommodating during my stay. However, there were a lot of mosquitoes around, and the bungalow I stayed in could have used better lighting and more power outlets to feel more comfortable.

I stayed in a charming bamboo bungalow among the trees, which was clean and offered a nice view. The fan kept the room cool, and the hammock on the terrace was a perfect spot to relax. It was spacious, but I noticed some other bungalows had smaller terraces and garden views.
